Russia federation towers – A structural glazing façade at the highest stage of energy saving
Werner Wagner, Sika Services AG
As far as glass processors are concerned, the windscreens on the market represent the entire scale of difficulty. The easiest are the even-curved, low segment height, small cross-bending glasses. At the most difficult end of the scale are the models that combine a large glass size, deep progressive sag, no reverse bending allowed at the corner areas and tight OE-based tolerances in terms of shape, size and rate of change.
It is obvious that the demands set for bending furnaces vary across a very broad range, depending on the application. It is clear, however, that the manufacture of difficult shapes calls for increasingly demanding technical solutions. This is naturally reflected in the price level of machines and equipment.
In the ESU EcoMax furnace range we have adopted a method that aims to simplify the customer's selection in line with the technical requirements. Our Basic Model, which is very capable of ARG production even without optional extras, also has a set of enhanced capability options, to cope with increasing technical requirements.
Automatic serial windscreen bending furnace with advanced convection pre-heating and heat recovery system. Final pre-heating and bending sections equipped with glass temperature based heating control, bending sections with effective heat focusing design.
Improved control of the final pre-heating. Bending sections with side heating facility and double amount of heating control loops.
All-around heating in final pre-heating and pre-bending sections by means of additional controlled heating at the bottom and the sides. Control loops almost double comparing to OS 1 and four times comparing to the basic model.
Bottom heating extended to all electric pre-heating sections. Enhanced control of the edge compression by means of a special stabilizing section and an extended initial cooling. Annealing with individual temperature control.
In addition to all above features, a press bending section for demanding shapes and tolerances.
