European HQ Complete and Operational at CRL

C.R.Laurence of Europe Ltd completed the relocation into their new purpose built facility near Manchester, UK, on the 19th July 2010.

The 75,000 sq.ft building incorporates 2 storey administration, sales and technical support team accommodation for more than 40 staff; and a vast high cube warehouse with more than 2820 euro pallet positions, and 4320 pick bin shelves, with the potential of 34,000 product locations.

Currently a dozen staff pick and pack more than 600 orders, and over 1000 parcels, a week from this new distribution centre, though the built in capacity is threefold for the future.

The building design, common to all 28 CRL facilities around the globe, is equipped with the latest technology infrastructure, conveyor parcel packing systems with automatic weigh stations and banding machinery, and a huge Trade Counter (Will Call Centre); which is set to serve up to 10 customers at any one time in relaxed surroundings and also incorporates 34 full size product displays in an air-conditioned showroom.
