Raya Ventures into the glass industry with Interpane and new float glass coating plant will be built in Egypt by 2010

The strength of glass growth throughout the Middle East and North Africa markets was clearly shown by an announcement made by Raya ventured into the glass processing industry in partnership with Interpane, a leading German company in the field of innovative architectural glass products. The new company will operate under the name Interpane Egypt LLC, with 50% stake for Raya and the other 50% for Interpane. Interpane Egypt will have the exclusive right to distribute the Interpane License to other glass manufacturing and processing factories in Egypt.The Joint Venture will also establish a float glass coating plant by 2010. In an environmentally friendly initiative, the factory is planned to produce high performance glass for solar and heat control application to save energy and to reduce energy consumption bill for the community over the coming years.
