Gerhard Reichert is the Vice President of Business Development at Edgetech I.G. Inc of Cambridge, Ohio. Reichert’s responsibilities include marketing Edgetech’s complete Super Spacer IG manufacturing systems both nationally and internationally, with a concentrated effort to develop the business in Europe and United Kingdom.

Along with his partner, Michael Glover, Reichert founded Edgetech in 1985 in Ottawa, Canada. Edgetech’s Super Spacer, a desiccated foam insulating glass spacer system, dramatically improves window performance and has helped lead the Warm Edge Technology revolution throughout the window industry. In 1989, the company became a subsidiary of Lauren Manufacturing, and Gerhard became the Director of Engineering.

Reichert holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario, and he has been an active member of SIGMA (Sealed Insulating Glass Manufacturers Association of America) and IGMAC (Insulating Glass Manufacturers Association of Canada). He sits on the Technical Services Committee for the newly formed IGMA Association for North America.

Reichert has presented numerous papers and articles for the insulating glass and window industry. He is named on dozens of patents relating to insulating glass.
