Nick Westra

Nick Westra as a Technical and Commercial Manager based in the Johnson Matthey Glass head office in Maastricht, the Netherlands, looks after Johnson Matthey Glass customers.

Westra has held various technical and commercial managerial positions within Johnson Matthey Glass over the last 15 years. Over a period of three years, at the turn of the century, he was relocated to the USA where he worked with the local US Glass team as a Business Manager.

Prior to working at Johnson Matthey he worked for 6 years in both the product development department of Mosa porcelain in Maastricht, and the technical and commercial department of two different screen print manufacturers in the south of the Netherlands.

Westra has been presenting before at the GPD (2003), and has presented various papers, on a variety of glass decorating related subjects, at the GANA (Glass association North America) and the SGCD (Society of Glass and Ceramic Decorators).

After college education Westra specialized in precious metals.
