Werner Sobek Ingenieure

Werner Sobek is one of the leading experts in the use of glass in modern architecture. His engineering consultancy has realised projects such as the Sony Center Berlin, the New Bangkok International Airport, and the pioneering exhibition stand for Audi, featuring a revolutionary application of thousands of different glass plates mounted within a couple of days.

Mr Sobek is also head of the newly-founded Institute for Lightweight Structures and Conceptual Design at the University of Stuttgart, where he succeeded both to famous architect Frei Otto and leading engineer Jörg Schlaich.
