Mr. Willmott established his own specialist TPM Consultancy 11 years ago. WCS International assist a wide range of both manufacturing and service industries to formulate and implement Total Productive Manufacturing as a practical application of Total Quality, Employee Involvement and a pillar of World Class Manufacturing.

He is recognized as a leading authority on the application of Total Productive Maintenance principles in the Western World and has written a book entitled "TPM - A Route to World Class Performance". He was recently Project Manager for a major European and DTI supported initiative called "TPM Experience". This project has been used to disseminate TPM Best Practice and also to currently develop a European Standard of TPM using the EFQM and Business Excellence Model.

He has headed up five TPM Study Tours to Japan to date, and has also chaired/or presented papers on the subject of TPM and Maintenance Best Practice at Conferences and Seminars in Belgium, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Portugal, South Africa, Sweden, UAE and the UK.

His clients include amongst others, BP Exploration, Courtaulds, Esselte, Exxon Chemicals, General Motors (Europe), Guinness, ICI, Pirelli, RHM Foods, Royal Mail, Royal Mint, Smith Kline Beecham and Sony.
