Dr. Hohenstein is a member of the Advisory Board of the Institute of Operations Research and Business Development in the Martin Luther University. He is Chairman and Vice Chairman in many International Committees like the Fenestration Days China, the fensterbau/frontale Russia, the Glass Performance Days, Finland and China and the Intelligent Building Middle East in Bahrain. He is also an honorary member of many industry bodies. Dr. Hohenstein is former Director of ift Rosenheim, a practically-oriented, strictly impartial institute with specialist expertise and with a leading position far beyond the borders of Germany. Dr. Helmut Hohenstein is also former Managing Director, Building Products, Pilkington plc. His basic topics are: Research, Turnarounds, Reengineering, Strategic Management, Innovations and Factory Planning. His personal interests are, in particular, art and architecture in the context of different cultures.
