Donald W. Ableson retired as Executive Director of the Specialty Vehicle Activity of General Motors Corporation, is currently President of Ableson Consulting LLC, and President of the SAE Foundation of Canada. Ableson has extensive experience in all areas of product development and manufacturing. His experience includes facilities planning, plant construction and start up, plant management, production business case development, product concept development, and production vehicle development. He graduated from Kettering University in 1960 with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, received his MBA degree from Michigan State University's Advanced Management Program in 1978, and is a registered Professional Engineer. He served as the International President of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) in 1999.
