Ashley Torr is the Automotive Global Product Manager at Pilkington Research and Development. He has been in this position since 2001. His portfolio areas include solar control and colour, heated glazings, water management systems, antenna systems, head up displays and night vision, glare reduction glazings, sensor functions, variable transmission glazings, and printing.

He worked at Pilkington Research and Development (Advanced Glass Technology Department) from 1994 to 2001 and from 1998 to 2001as an Automotive R+D Project Manager, that included high viscosity glass, low expansion glass, chemically strengthened glass and solar control glass.

He graduated as Inorganic chemistry PhD from Nottingham University, England, in 1994.
