Rolf Pfiffner is the Manager of the R&D department of Bystronic Maschinen AG. Bystronic is a global solution provider with a complete range of glass processing products and services for Architectural and Automotive glass. Rolf Pfiffner is responsible for the technical development and realization of the new core-machinery for the Architectural area as well as for the Automotive pre-processing.

He previously held a position as project manager by a firmware development service provider. He was trained as an Electro-Engineer. During his PhD he concentrated on Optimal Control applied on mechanical plants. About this topic he presented various papers in conferences or published them in journals.
