Octatube Space Structures

Prof. Dr. Ir. Mick Eekhout is professor for product development at the faculty of architecture at Technical University Delft, The Netherlands. He runs his own architectural office since 1975. In 1983 he founded Octatube Space Structures, a company dedicated to build the visions of architects, and mainly concerned with the envelope of buildings (facades and roofs). The company started out building huge, lightweight space frames, and developed further into point fixed glass facades and roofs. A specialty of Octatube lies within the capability of dealing with free formed geometries (BLOB architecture). In the last years a further development took place by building the first ever free formed polyester sandwich roof (Rabin Center, Tel Aviv, Israel).
