David Christie

Advanced Energy Industries, Inc.

David Christie is a Senior Scientist at Advanced Energy, where he has been employed since 1995. His work is focused on power conversion for plasma processes. His research interests include pulsed power for plasmas, modelling of thin film deposition processes, and enabling new processes with innovative power conversion and control systems. Prior to joining Advanced Energy, he was systems product manager for Directed Energy, Inc.; group leader at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory; and project engineer at General Motors.

Dr. Christie received the PhD degree from Colorado State University, the MS degree from the University of Illinois, and the bachelor’s degree from Kettering University, all in electrical engineering. He has been awarded five patents, has published papers in scientific and technical journals, and has presented numerous conference papers on plasma power supplies and thin film processes.
