Geralt Siebert, born in 1966, received his civil engineering degree from TU München. The doctor’s thesis about the application of architectural glass as load carrying structural element was accepted 1999. He owns a consulting engineers office with special field of application of glass.

He had a lectureship about the application of glass at TU München until 10/2003. Since then he is professor and owner of the chair of structural design and building physics and the University of the German Federal Armed Forces in Munich. Research field at university is application of glass as load carrying structural element. Mr. Siebert is a member of BAYiKa-Bau, IABSE, DSTV, DIN standard working group for "design of structural glass" DIN 18008.

Publications: book about the application of glass "Ernst und Sohn Verlag", past presentations at institutional conferences: ASEM Seoul (2004, invited keynote lecture and session organizer of "glass session"), Osaka (05/2003, for architects), Osaka (09/2003, for engineers), Fenstertage Rosenheim ift (2004), ISAAG Munich (2004), many national conferences in Germany.
