New developments in glazing for a better use of solar energy in buildings

The results of thermo technical researches of window constructions by PVC profiles and aluminium alloys with energy-saving glass units of various types, including pasted in a shutter are resulted. For modeling real conditions of operation window blocks were set into a wall construction, which is typical for buildings in regions of Siberia and Ural. The wall construction has been set into an enclosed volume of the climatic test chamber. The test climatic chamber with an enclosed volume 4x4x4 m had an opportunity of
maintenance of temperature in a cold zone from 0șC up to a minus 45șC. Local temperatures and heat flows on various sites of a surface of window constructions, thermal deformations of structures mullions and shutters were defined. The control of distribution of temperature fields by means of thermo vision equipments was made.
Conformity of the investigated window constructions to the Russian norms on thermal protection and sanitary and hygienic parameters for inhabited and public buildings is certain. The contribution of the reduced total thermal resistance R0g of glass units of various designs, including with application of glasses AGC Planibel Top N with low-E coating and spacer Technoform Glass Insulation (TGI), in reduced total thermal
resistance of window R0w for temperature gradient Δt=tint-text from 20șC up to 60șC is estimated.
