Performance of Advanced Solar PVB for Photovoltaic Modules

Apart from the uncontested success in the field of laminated safety glass, PVB-film is increasingly used for encapsulation of photovoltaic cells. The durability and reliability of currently existing PVB film is underlined by the successful certification of glass/glass thin-film modules according to the stringent test protocol IEC 61646. Newly developed advanced solar PVB features very significant improvements of electrical insulation and water permeation properties that will result in performance upgrades of photovoltaic modules.
