The Aker Partners Inc.

The DuPont Benedictus Awards program is an annual international
competition for both student and professional architects to recognize
significant and enterprising architectural uses of laminated glass.

The 1998 student DuPont Benedictus Awards challenged students to design a courthouse for a given site or for a site of their choosing, exploring the various applications of laminated glass to enhance security while providing perfect visibility and including such benefits as sound control and resistance to wind and windblown debris. These challenges were selected to encourage students to explore the various uses and applications of laminated glass as a building material.

Awards for the student series of year 1998 are presented in this file.
