The dynamical strength of laminated glass is remaining an issue in the building industry. It becomes especially important in the discussion of the glass strength factors comparing the mechanical properties of sandwich structures towards those of monolithic glass. In this paper an easy method is presented to determine the flexural stiffness of laminated glass, based on the resonance frequency of a simple beam. Also a theoretical formula is proposed to calculate this frequency based on a calculation of the rigidity, taking into account the properties of both the glass and the polymeric interlayer. This method has allowed the evaluation of the effect of polymeric properties, the frequency of the deformation and the temperature on the dynamical mechanical properties of laminated glass.
