High Performance Nano-Coatings for Glass

G. Sakoske, M. Baumann, G. Tuenker, K. Fritsche, J. Hanich,

Thin film nano-coatings enhance the performance and quality of glass substrates giving more functionality and aesthetic value. Spectrally selective control of energy conversion while maintaining clear vision makes glass an ultimate substrate in the future. Protection can be provided against the relentless environmental stresses of pollution, corrosion, mar, etc. that devices will endure. These functional coatings on glass are no longer exclusive and will be a standard means to add value as they become essential to the performance of engineered constructions such as buildings, appliances, automobiles, containers, or multi-touch panels.
