Measuring Automotive Glass Using a Line Scanner During Bending and Tempering

The process of bending, toughening and
tempering automotive glass requires that the
glass be heated inside of some type of oven. The
temperature of the glass during all of these
processes is very critical to insure that the glass
has been toughened, tempered or bent properly.
The introduction and use a line scanner to
measure temperature for these processes can
improve quality as well as production output.
