Thank you very much for the invitation to come here. A special thank you also to: Don Ableson, Vince Henry, and especially to Jorma Vitkala for the invitation to speak to this very important audience.

I hope to give you some insight into the world of contemporary design and its history. Design is big business, experienced high quality, enthusiastic and motivated designers are a must to compete effectively in the global market today. Process and timing is also important as it is to everyone in business. The designer brings a necessary component to modern product creation, artistic content, he or she must add and maintain it throughout the product development process, from beginning to end.
