Winshield Bending Technology - New Possibilities of Gravity Bending

Along with the new car design the windshield
shapes are becoming more complex. Instead of
having very tight bending radius, modern
windshield design features difficult, wrap around
corners. Because of smaller assembly angle of
the windshield, the shape of the cross bending
has to be controlled better than before in order to
avoid optical distortion.
The present development work in gravity
bending has focus on both in the heating and
bending arrangements as well as in immediate
control of the bent glass for easier process
control.
