Electrochromic Automotive Sunroofs

Saint-Gobain Sekurit has developped a high-performance electrochromic (E/C) glazing named SGS LIGHTUNING suitable for automotive applications such as sunroofs. This proprietary technology provides a variable range of photopic and solar transmissions. The structure and the characteristics of the product are described. Of no less importance is the ability of our E/C technology to satisfy the stringent requirements of the car industry. The results of some of the tests we performed are reported. First full scale prototypes incorporating this technology have been manufactured.
