For the large area coating on architectural glass with the excellent self-cleaning performance, the sputtering method is suitable for the thickness uniformity and the appearance. The usage of seed layer is illustrated to form the anatase structure of TiO2. The coating shows the good photo-activity and the excellent selfcleaning performance. This seed layer effectively makes the incomparable lattice matching to the anatase TiO2. The direction of each crystalline plane is also important. Finally, it was found that the heating process is not necessary when the seed layer is utilized.
