Edge-performance Testing of Automotive Laminated Glass

DuPont have been conducting extensive research into the edge performance of laminated glass in many areas of the world. Some of the assumptions typically used in developing new car designs, and the tests developed to support them, will be explored along with the edge performance aspects of those designs. Intermediate-term, real world exposure provides considerable insights into the formation of edge defects under in-use conditions. Data from these studies will be compared against those from accelerated laboratory tests.
