Present Status and Future Trend of Coatings on Glass for Automobiles

Some topics from recent coating technology for automotive glazing are presented, followed by prospect of future trend. Highly durable hydrophobic and low-reflective coating technologies could contribute to visibility improvement of drivers. A new bendable silver coating could show high performance in solar control and have potential for other application.
