Shifting Paradigms on Design of Laminated Glass for Buildings

The performance characteristics of laminated
glass have been poorly understood or
represented in some markets in relation to a
number of areas important to glazing selection for
buildings. New paradigms are evolving on design
of laminated glass for buildings in the areas of
safety related to human impact, structural strength
performance, energy control in warm climates
and acoustics. Because of its proven field
performance in these four important areas
laminated glass is generally the most appropriate
glazing choice for buildings.
