Thermal Upgrade of IGU Spacers

Thermally improved edge systems, like the stainless steel spacer or the thermoplastic edge seat (TPS), are heavily discussed by insulating glass unit (IGU) manufacturers and customers. Warm-edge spacers were first introduced to Europe in the early 1990s, but have yet to achieve a significant market penetration. This is set to change as governments, led by Austria, Switzerland and Germany, introduce energy saving legislation.
