The effect of coatings on the bending strength of architectural glass

Coatings are used for many glass applications in architecture. Despite this, there is almost no information as to how these coatings affect the strength of glass. This paper gives the results of some tests on coated glass which indicate that there are interesting effects of coatings on glass strength.
