Glass Structures for Exhibition Stands

Modern designs of exhibition stands require more and more transparency. To meet the designers´ demands it becomes necessary to use glass not only as an element of design, but also as a load bearing element of the structure. In the following, three examples of realized structures are presented. Each example will be described with regard to the following aspects: 1. description of the load bearing system, 2. concept of static calculation, 3. methods of calculation, and 4. experiences with the use of glass in the according structure.
