Laminated glass application with vacuum glazing for soundproof and security

The laminated vacuum glazing with the advantage of the slim structure of vacuum glazing has developed. The soundproof type laminated vacuum glazing has only 9.7 mm total thickness in case of laminated vacuum glazing with 3 mm thick glass. With laminating the vacuum glazing to single pane, it would be expected that the laminated vacuum glazing has the high thermal insulating property, the high soundproof property, the crime prevention property and so on. Those results of soundproof evaluation of the laminated vacuum glazing were implied that the laminated vacuum glazing for soundproof achieved the two rank better performances (T-3 rank) than the conventional double glazing with 5 mm thickness glass and 12 mm air layer. Furthermore, the result of the evaluation of crime prevention performance of the laminated vacuum glazing for security was indicated the similar performance to the high level laminated glazing. Also, because of the high rigidity property, the laminated vacuum glazing was implied to be enough strength for wind load even the half of the total thickness against the conventional double glazing. Moreover, the laminated vacuum glazing was indicated the similar high energy saving performance to vacuum glazing in house.
