How to Use Non Contact Thermometers to Measure Glass Temperatures

Determining the temperature of the glass
during the processes of annealing, tempering or
hardening, bending, and laminating, is key to
producing good product with a minimum of scrap
and a maximum of output. Measuring glass
temperature using a non contact thermometer is
common, but to obtain a accurate temperature
indication requires careful consideration of
instrument selection and proper installation of the
sensing head and accessories.
