Advances in Testing Tempered Glasses in Heat Soak Ovens

Time dependence of the breakage in different heat soak ovens has been measured and interpreted by mathematical models. These models indicate that the holding time can be less than 2 hours if the glass temperature is 290 ± 10°C and the beginning of the holding period is defined when the coolest area of every sheet reaches 280°C.
