blasting and chemical frosting is widely used in glass ware design, but the applied glass frosting compounds contain a very active reagent – hydrofluoric acid. In both kinds of glass processing, unsteady removal of the surface glass layer takes place. It leads to the surface roughness. However, it should be noted, that more rough surface relief is generated by blasting because the glass particles are beating from the surface in more hard conditions than by the chemical frosting.
