New generation of automotive glass enamels to meet the rising challenges of the global car manufacturers

This paper will cover new challenges and requirements for automotive glass enamels and their impact on development and the choice of basic components. Significant improvements and new approaches to glass science have resulted in a new generation of automotive glass enamels with a unique combination of properties. The chemical durability especially, will be the focus of car manufacturers around the world. This paper will also reflect the regional differences of requirements and the tendency of a global standardization in the near future.
