Arcon Beschichtungstechnik was founded by insulation glass pioneers Alfred Arnold (Glaswerke Arnold) and Wilhelm Conzelmann (Glas Conzelmann) in 1980. The innovative courage of these two corporate entrepreneurs and their mid-sized companies saw vacuum float-glass gold coating, with further processing resulting in insulation glass, begin as early as 1981. Then in 1985 arcon started production of tempered safety glass - and the arcon success story was born...
