The business, exsisting since 1938, is today headed by JOSEF ERTL, a successor to the original founder. In the past decade the business rapidly developed to a size which necessitated the structuring of a Joint Stock Company. Ertl Glas originally acquired it´s good reputation predominantly with the production of tempered and insulating glass. The actual product assortment largely covered the extensive variety of most, at the time, required functional glass types.
