Kopp Glass was founded in 1926 from the reorganization of the Pittsburgh Lamp, Brass and Glass Company.
The company expanded into the industrial market in its early years through the development of "selenium red" glass. This glass became the standard for railroad signal lighting and the rest is history.

In the early 1980's, Kopp Glass acquired the Corning Glass filter business. This product line continues to be an important and strategic part of the company today.

The markets and products have changed over the years and so has Kopp. We are firmly committed to delivering value-added solutions to our customers.
