There one two academicians of Chinese Academy, 24 professors and 38 associate professors in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Among them, more than 40 persons are young teachers or researchers and over 80 percentage of them have a Doctor degree. In addition,the Department has 4 concurrent professors. The Department has a branch of the National Key Tribology Laboratory, a Center for NDT Technology and Engineering of the National Bureau of Quality and Technique Supervision. All labs are well equipped and serve for training or scientific research.
