Welcome to the European center of chemical nanotechnology for material innovations.
  Welcome to the European center of chemical nanotechnology for material innovations. Under the leadership of the chemist Prof. Helmut Schmidt, the Institute for New Materials has already been concentrating since 1990 on the research in and development of new nanomaterials to production maturity. Today, almost 200 scientists, engineers and technicians are working on 12,500 m² floor space in the independent state research enterprise.
