The mission of AFSG is to advocate appropriate use of glazing materials in buildings to protect public safety, through adequate building regulations, industry cooperation and public education. AFSG came about as a result of the discovery by parents that their children’s debilitating injuries were not isolated accidents, but represent a serious national safety problem caused by the use of a dangerous glazing product that gives the illusion of impact safety, but in reality is anything but safe.
