IPI, which was founded in 1997 by Wolfgang Hrosch and Bernd Laser, is located in Bremen, Germany, and offers individual systems for customers worldwide. Starting point was the transfer of process mass spectrometry technology - based on quadrupole technology - from Balzers AG (now Inficon AG), Liechtenstein, to the new company.
