| The Glass and Facade Technology (gFT) research group provides solutions to real-world applications in the field of glass structures and façade engineering by undertaking high quality research. |

The research undertaken by the gFT research group ranges from fundamental research to applied research and may be subdivided into four inter-related themes: 1. Assessment of the structural and environmental performance of new and established materials / systems. 2. Research involving novel design and construction techniques. 3. Development and prototyping of new components / systems. Most projects are grant-aided or contract research and involve close collaboration with industrial partners ranging from glass producers to consulting engineers. |
